1. What fascinates you about what you do?

I love that in this type of work Im so free, Im given an idea by a film maker, director, actor, etc, and from there, Im able to put what artistic abilities and imagination I have into creating ... a monster. Its freeing, its fun, never a dull moment, always keeps me on my toes, allows me to learn more every time I do a new shoot or film, and its so rewarding to see the finished product.

2. Is there anything you haven't done yet in the industry?

So much! Im such a newbie to the industry and I have such a long list of things I'd love to do and will hopefully one day get to do. So many props I'd love to make, so many different monsters I'd like to create and people I'd love to work with.

3. IS horror your favorite out of all genres?

Absolutely! When I was thirteen I went to Six Flags Fright Fest (which would eventually become my very first job and one I LOVE and still work every October), and watching the zombies dance to MJ's 'Thriller' and get chased through the 'Zombie Zone' by a very crazy looking clown, I was in love with all things horror. I saw George A. Romeros 'Night of the Living Dead' shortly after that experience and ever since then, I've been a horror junkie, with a HUGE emphasis on Zombies. Romero is responsible for the career Iíve chosen.

4. Do you feel being a female you have to work a lot harder to be excepted then a male?

I think as a female in the horror industry, yes, you have to prove you arent playing around, you arenít afraid to get messy, and most of all; that you're unique. Theres thousands of people wanting to break into this industry and Ive realized it definitely isnt easy, for a male or female, but its important to be unique, and have a technique or a "trademark" thatís so YOU and own it. You have to love what you do and keep on loving it and giving it your all.

5. How did you get started? Did you ever enjoy blood over Barbieís?

I'd always had an interest in theater and arts but could NOT draw, and after working Fright Fest for a few years, I'd picked up some of the techniques their makeup artists used, and in 2007, I realized thatís what I really wanted to do, I wanted to make monsters, I wanted to scare people! I learned most of what I know from reading old school books from the 80's and 90's about makeup techniques artists used, watching the Extras on various horror movie DVD's and watching how they did things, experimenting on myself with different makeup products I read about in books or online and also by watching other makeup artists work and asking questions. As for blood over barbies? ABSOLUTELY. Theres MANY pictures tucked away somewhere of me in different "scary" costumes and makeup (thanks mom!) from the time I was in fifth grade up until now and its pretty awesome to go back look at all of those. I was never really a barbie girl, I'd much prefer to attach them to a fan and turn it on "HIGH", watch them spin and get decapitated.

6. What are you working on now?

Theres a Zombie Walk in my hometown coming up here in October that Iíll be doing makeup for and also helping to organize, doing makeup for a high school friends Pin-Up style Zombie Photo shoot, I just signed on to help a friend and fellow movie maker create some kick ass zombies for a short film of his, Fright Fest is right around the corner, and Iím always doodling and creating monsters in my spare time.
